5 food items I always have at home

There are a few things that makes cooking easy and tasty in my kitchen. A few things that I can vary to fit what ever I'm in the mood for.

  • Bulgur - Inspires me. Tabbouleh, cinnamon and apricots, garlic and butter, or in just about any salad.
  • Onions - Makes the difference.
  • Broccolli - It's a love story. Roasted in the oven with lemon oil and sea salt... All I need!
  • Chickpeas - Caters to my reoccuring cravings for Indian food.
  • Egg - Omelette, scrambled, quiche, boiled, fried, poached and on and on and on.....

  1. I have never heard of roasted broccoli! Can you share your method?

  2. Hi Nancy! How wonderful to find you here! I miss FL and you!! Hope you are well! About the broccoli, to be honest it's the frozen broccoli that works best since the fresh one tends to blacken. It's dead simple, I just put it on a tray drizzle over some lemon flavored olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt. Pop it in the oven and roast for about 15-20 minutes. It's delicious and I often serve it with chicken and roasted potatoes (put everything on the same tray for easy cooking). Try it out and let me know how you liked it. xxx
